App Lock allows you to lock the app screen on your mobile Viewer and Camera devices. If someone gets physical access to your smartphone, App Lock helps you protect your personal data from unauthorized access.

⚠️ Note:
- Alfred's App Lock only works on app versions that are higher than 2021.5.0. Please update the AlfredCamera app to the latest version on all your Viewer and Camera devices before setting up Alfred’s App Lock.
- If you have no access to your backup email anymore, please contact Alfred Support for further assistance.
- App Lock is currently not supported on Alfred's WebViewer/WebCamera yet.
How to set up App Lock?
- Go to your Viewer device
- Go to the “More” tab
- Enable “App Lock”
- Enter a backup email (Recommended: Use an email that is different from your Alfred account)
- Tap "Get verification code"
- Alfred will send a verification code to your backup email
- Enter the verification code
- Set up a PIN code
- Re-enter the PIN code
After setting up App Lock, it will be activated automatically when the Alfred app is running in the background for more than 30 seconds or after 1 minute of inactivity.
How to change my PIN code?
- Go to your Viewer device
- Go to the “More” tab
- Enable “App Lock”
- Tap “Change PIN Code”
- Enter your current PIN code
- Set up a new PIN code
- Re-enter the new PIN code
How to change my backup email?
- Go to your Viewer device
- Go to the “More” tab
- Enable “App Lock”
- Tap “Change Backup Email”
- Enter your PIN code
- Set up a new backup email
- Tap "Get verification code"
- Alfred will send a verification code to your backup email
- Enter the verification code
What if I forget my PIN code?
You can reset your PIN code by the following steps:
- Go to your Viewer device
- Tap “Forget PIN code” on the App Lock screen
- Alfred will send a verification code to your backup email
- Enter the verification code
- Set up a new PIN code
- Re-enter the new PIN code
