What is Zoom?
Zoom is an Alfred Premium feature that lets you zoom in and out during Live sessions.
Zoom does not simply scale images up, which makes everything blurry. Instead, Alfred uses higher image resolution from the camera sensor to preserve more details.
Depending on the resolution of the camera sensor, the image can be enlarged 1.5 to 4 times. For the best result, we recommend that you place what you want to see at the center of the screen.
Double-tap to zoom is supported on WebViewer as well.
How do I zoom in and out?
Depending on your device model, app versions, and resolution settings, you can:
- double-tap on the area you want to focus on to zoom in and double-tap again to zoom out, or
- pinch to zoom and move the screen around freely
If your device only supports double-tap to zoom, you can only zoom in up to 2 times. If your device supports pinch to zoom, you can zoom in up to 4 times and move the screen around when you're zoomed in.
⚠️Note: After you exit a Live session, the feed will stay zoomed-out. Motion Events generated during this period of time will be zoomed-out as well. If you decide to stay zoomed in, please enable "Stay Zoomed-in" in the camera setting.

What are some known limitations?
We tried our best to make the feature work on as many devices as possible. However, there are still some technical limitations:
- Zoom is not available when the device's camera sensor resolution is too low (for example, the front-facing lens on older devices)
- Zoom may be “off-centered” depending on the resolution of the camera sensor. Converting different aspect ratios may cause some bias.
