Answer: smartphones, tablets & PC
To make home security accessible to everyone, we try to make Alfred available on as many smartphone/tablet devices and operating systems as possible. You can even connect devices running across Android and iOS systems.
As a rule of thumb, if you can find our app on the Google Play Store or App Store on your device, you can use Alfred. With that said, we do not currently support any IP cameras, webcams, or security systems on the market. We also set a minimum requirement for operating systems version:
What systems do I need to have?
-
Viewer devices
You can turn almost any smartphone and tablet devices into Viewer devices as long as they run on systems above Android 5 or iOS 10. We suggest that you use your daily phones as Viewer devices.
If none of your smartphone or tablet devices run above iOS 10 or Android 5, you can use Alfred's WebViewer on Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. -
Camera devices
The minimum system requirements for Camera devices are Android 4.4 (For a better experience, operating systems above Android 5 are highly recommended) or iOS 10. As long as you can find Alfred's app on the Google Play Store or App Store, you can use your device as a camera. Since you can add as many Camera devices to your account as you'd like, you can also acquire cheap cameras to help expand your home security system.
If none of your smartphone or tablet devices run above iOS 10 or Android 4.4, you can use Alfred's WebCamera on Chrome.
We've also compiled a short list of requirements, such as storage and internet, to help you use Alfred Camera.
