One of the few requirements for Alfred to work is a stable Internet connection. However, if you are experiencing connection or "camera offline" issues, please first see the General Tips. Then see below for more specific tips only for Android devices. In this article, you will learn how to avoid your Android Camera devices going offline 🚫:
- Disable Battery Optimization(Android 8+ only)
- Adjust system Screen Lock settings
- Grant Alfred permission to display over other apps (Android 10+ only)
- Advanced settings for Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, ASUS, and Infinix
Disable Battery Optimization (Android 8+ only)
Below are general quick setup steps to turn off the Battery Optimization 🔋:
⚠️ Note: Different Android devices may have different setting steps to turn off the Battery Optimization. Please click here if your devices are Asus, Huawei, LG, Pixel, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Vivo, Xiaomi.
- Swipe up and find the Alfred app in the app switcher
- Tap "App info"
- Tap "Battery"
- Choose "Unrestricted"
Adjust system Screen Lock settings
- Open "Settings" on your Camera phone
- Tap "Security"
- Tap "Screen Lock"
- Set "Lock after screen timeout" to the longest duration
- Disable "Power button instantly locks"
Grant Alfred permission to display over other apps (Android 10+)
- Open "Settings" on your Camera phone
- Tap "Apps"
- Tap "AlfredCamera"
- Tap "Display over other apps"
- Switch on the "Allow display over other apps" toggle
